No matter how attractive the colours of birds and butterflies and moths are, I love working with black ink (there are a few coloured ones here) intent upon the subtle differences of all the feathered life. The feathers, wings and their sizes are distinct in each of them, which I am sure to have missed, had I coloured them all.
